Is there something in the air? Aggressive attacks in Hungary
A man attacked his girlfriend with a knife, hammer, and pincers in Nyíregyháza while another one hit the driver of tram nr. 61 in Budapest. Shocking details below.
According to hvg, police received a call Tuesday night that in District 11, a 38-year-old man hit the driver of tram nr. 61. The vehicle was out of service, so the perpetrator, who did not even wear a face mask, was not allowed to travel on it. That is why he got angry and hit the driver. Afterwards,
he tried to escape, but police caught him within ten minutes.
They interrogated him as a suspect of attacking a civil servant and not wearing a mask in a public space.
In Nyíregyháza, a man attacked his girlfriend with pincers, a hammer, and even a knife. They have been living together for five years, raising their two children. However, since the man worked as a security guard abroad, he was
able to see his family only once a month.
Interestingly, he got a 50-day-long jail sentence in 2019 because he did not pay a parking fine. Police released him on January 24, and his common-law spouse waited for him with their two kids in Budapest. It came to light that she did not pay the fine for which he was imprisoned. The quarrel continued when he said that his girlfriend cheated on him with another man. They spent the night in a hotel room where the man hit the woman several times and forced her to sleep on the floor.

The next day, they travelled back to Nyíregyháza, but the man drank a lot and became aggressive by night. He started to hit his girlfriend with a hammer. Afterwards, he dragged her on the floor and continued beating her with his fists. Later, he took a knife and stabbed her several times and did so with pincers as well. Meanwhile,
he kept repeating that the reason he does this is his 50-day-long imprisonment which was nightmarish.
The woman begged for an ambulance and swore that she would tell them that unknown attackers did that to her. When the ambulance arrived, she was already between life and death because of a stabbed wound on her chest. In the hospital, they managed to stabilise her, but her wounds would only heal in 7-9 weeks.
The man confessed his deeds, and the court placed him in pre-trial detention. The prosecutor asked for seven years of imprisonment in his case because, based on the criminal code, the penalty for such actions ranges between two and eight years in jail.

As long as you keep jailing someone for 50 days for a parking ticket , but allow a convicted paedophile to sit not even a single day in Jail with a suspended sentence , you are criminalising misdemeanours and completely exonerating the real criminals !
